This one ranks ten tools on what a one-person business actually needs — all-in price, feature coverage, workspace separation, EU hosting — using the vendors' public pricing pages and documentation. And full disclosure, up front: we build the tool that wins.

Where it falls short. No native iOS app yet (the responsive web app works on iPhone). Smaller integration list than ClickUp or Notion. And it's a younger product than everything else on this list.
The default solo founder pick of 2020-2024, still good for docs and wikis, weak as a task manager. Many solo founders end up running Notion + Todoist + some calendar tool — which adds up to ~€20-25/mo and three tabs to switch between. AI is a paid addon (€9/mo). US-hosted by default. Worth knowing: with the AI addon included, a Notion-centred stack usually costs more than YourPAZ's €9 all-in.
If all you need is "fast task capture, natural-language input, deadlines that don't lie", Todoist is still the best at it. But it's task-only — you'll still need a notes app, a meetings app, a contacts app, an ideas inbox. If you're spending €4 on Todoist and €11 on Notion and €9 on Notion AI, that's €24 vs YourPAZ's €9 for more capability.
Sunsama's "plan your day" daily ritual is genuinely habit-forming. The €20/mo price is the issue — it's the most expensive tool on this list for what is fundamentally a calendar + task list. If you have the budget and your problem is "I never know what to do today", it's worth it. If you have the budget and you also want notes / meetings / CRM, YourPAZ is cheaper and broader.
Motion's auto-scheduling is the best-known implementation of "AI puts your tasks on your calendar". But ~€30/mo is a lot and the value is gated to scheduling-heavy workflows. For solo founders with light meeting calendars, this is overkill.
Linear is exquisite if you're a solo dev shipping software. Outside that, no. Linear has no useful concept of "client work" or "marketing campaign" — it's an issue tracker, very fast, very keyboard-friendly, and the wrong tool for most solo founders.
Trello has been around forever for a reason — boards, lists, cards. If you literally just want a Kanban, this is fine. Light on AI, no notes, no meetings. As a starter PM tool for someone allergic to PM tools, fine. As a daily driver for a solo founder in 2026, dated.
Plutio bundles project management with invoicing, proposals, contracts, and a tiny CRM. If you're a freelancer billing 5+ clients, Plutio's invoicing alone might justify it. As a general PM tool, narrower than YourPAZ.
ClickUp's free tier is genuinely generous and the configurability is unmatched. But Brain (AI) is billed as a separate paid add-on on top of the plan price, and the learning curve is steep. For a solo founder, ClickUp is over-engineered. Use what you save on configuration time to actually ship.
If you live in plain markdown and your problem is personal knowledge management, Obsidian is wonderful. If your problem is project management with deadlines and stakeholders, it's the wrong tool. Local-first, no AI by default, plugin chaos. Best second-brain for indie hackers who also want PM elsewhere.
You're one person. You should pay for one person. monday.com's cheapest paid plans are billed with a three-seat minimum — it's right there on their pricing page. YourPAZ's free tier is genuinely free and €9/month is per-account, not per-seat-pretending-to-be-per-account.
Notion is €11/mo, then €9/mo for AI = €20/mo. ClickUp bills its Brain AI as a separate add-on on top of the plan price. YourPAZ is €9/mo, AI included — one subscription instead of two, and still under the Notion + AI total.
If you're shipping a SaaS while keeping a day job, you need Work and Personal to be airtight. YourPAZ's workspace toggle (work / personal / side-project) keeps them fully separated under one subscription — in many other tools that separation means separate paid workspaces. Motion is great if your problem is calendar-blocking and you have a heavy meeting load. It's pricey (~€30/mo) and limited outside the auto-scheduling use case. For solo founders without a meeting-heavy schedule, YourPAZ does more for less.
